Game Outlet Europe today announced the start-up of a games publisher titled Nordic Games. The new company will publish licensed games for PS2, DS, Wii and PC. Nordic Games plans to focus on budget titles at first, evolving over time to more premium offerings.
"This is an exciting time for the group, and with the huge expansion of the market we feel it is the right time to enter the publishing business." said Pelle Lundborg, Publishing Director, Nordic Games. "Our unique distribution method means that platforms like the Sony Playstation 2, has at least another 3 years left in its lifecycle, and we are in a position to benefit from this".
Currently, Nordic Games has five games in development across 11 SKUs with specific details to be announced soon.
