Microsoft Hardware unit: 'Say Goodbye To Laser'

Without a doubt, the optical mouse has had a profound impact on the way we use our computers. No longer confined by trackballs, the optical mouse is more precise, easier to maintain, more durable, and can be used on a wider variety of surfaces (uneven surfaces are the main thorn in the side of optical mice).

Now Microsoft Hardware has put up a teaser suggesting that Microsoft will be unveiling new tech on Sept 9th that will "say goodbye to laser". What do you think it will be? More importantly, how much will it cost? We'll find out in a couple of weeks!
