Yesterday a lawsuit was filed against NVIDIA claiming they violated US securities laws by hiding a defect in certain GPUs that they've known about since last year. The lawsuit alleges that NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang and company CFO Marvin Burkett knew about a defect in their graphics chips as early as November 2007.
NVIDIA ultimately acknowledged the flaw just two months ago, when they announced they were taking a $200 million charge to cover the cost of repairing the affected notebooks.
