Nintendo is working on a high-definition Wii console.
What They Play is reporting that Nintendo is working on a high-definition Wii console with true "next-generation" graphics set for an introduction in 2011.
Their sources liken the new console as a successor to the original Wii concept, similar to the transition from the Game Boy to the Game Boy Advance. Those who have been briefed on the new console have described it as a Wii HD. The new console will be backward-compatible with the Wii and will likely have some form of built-in storage (HDD or integrated flash).
