Microsoft has come up with a solution for some Arcade users: free memory cards.

Remember that Xbox 360 dilemma I posted yesterday about the upcoming Xbox 360 dashboard update being too big for some Arcade users? Well it looks like Microsoft has come up with a solution similar to what I thought they'd have to do: free memory cards!

More specifically, Microsoft will be giving users the option of a free 512MB memory card, or if you'd like a little more space, Microsoft will be offering the same 20GB HDD that originally shipped with the Xbox 360 Premium at launch for the discounted price of $19.99.

If you're an Xbox 360 Arcade owner who would like to participate in the memory upgrade program, you will have toenter in your console's serial number and console ID number to see if you qualify.

Thanks to all the readers who sent in links to the Microsoft program.
