Ubisoft sent word today that Far Cry 2, recently released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, has achieved one million units sold worldwide in less than three weeks of availability at retail. The French publisher did not break this sales performance down by platform or region.
"The holiday quarter is off to a solid start with the successful launch of Far Cry 2," commented Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. "The game is well on track to achieve our expectations for the year."
The game has been receiving generally warm reviews, including an 8-out-of-10 score from GameDaily. Far Cry 2 is just the latest success from Ubisoft, which continues to post impressive gains each quarter. The publisher recently reported a 37 percent jump in sales for the second quarter.
