As the company that still owns the majority of the Internet browser market share as well as Xbox Live, it might come as a bit of a surprise to realize that Microsoft has never had an online store. It does now though, and it sells games.
Kotaku is reporting that Microsoft has joined Sony, and much of the rest of the 21st century, by opening their very own online store. Among the items up for sale are Office, Xbox 360s and games like Halo 3 and Gears of War 2. So if you have the itch to spend your hard-earned cash on Microsoft products, the basics at least are there for your perusal.
Unfortunately, you might be better off sticking with Amazon and eBay, because Microsoft is not only charging the recommended retail price, but $7 shipping. But hey, it's never too late for them to start offering some great exclusive deals. We just hope that Microsoft takes the hint.
