Expreview and other rumor sites are reporting that GeForce GTX 260-based GX2 card will be launched January 9th at CES next year.
With NVIDIA's smaller 55-nm GT200 derivative reportedly in full production at TSMC, it was only a matter of time before the company concocted a dual GPU GX2 card based on the new chip. Expreview and other rumor sitesare reporting that such a card will be launched January 9th at CES next year. The GX2 card is expected to run at GTX 260 clocks and presumably sport 216 cores (rather than the 192 on the original GTX 260). NVIDIA's goal? To dethrone ATI's Radeon 4870 X2 as the world's fastest graphics card.
