Most "preview features," as the gaming media calls them, are designed for the casual reader. They round up various upcoming titles, often within the boundaries of a certain topic, and tell you a fact or two about each. We're not here to argue those can't be useful -- it can be nice to get a snapshot of what's coming soon. But for readers who follow preview coverage, they're rarely filled with much new information.
What you're looking at here is our attempt to do a "Games of 2009" feature differently. The focus isn't a comprehensive list of every game releasing next year (though we'll have one of those at the end of the month); it's on a countdown of exclusive previews highlighting many of the year's most promising games. We've got something new to reveal every weekday in December -- so, you know, keep checking back.
