Bungie Offers First Peek at Orbital Map

In its weekly update, Bungie offered a tease for next year’s Halo 3 Orbital map in the form of a screenshot (above). The map is set to ship as a bonus with the Limited Edition of Halo Wars, along with the maps Assembly and Sandbox. The full Mythic Map Pack will include those three plus Citadel, Heretic, and Longshore.
The update also gives word that Halo 3: ODST has entered a "representational" state, meaning that it’s playable from start to finish, but the developer isn’t done polishing it with voice talent and bug squashing. Finally, they offer a Halo-themed Christmas card that can be downloaded digitally to send out to friends and family. Though the update doesn’t give us much information on the Orbital map, it does say to check back next week, so we’re sure to find out at least a bit more before we pop the cork on New Year’s.
