Age of Conan will have its server number cut by more than half.

Funcom today released a list of servers that it will be closing for Age of Conan. In the North American and Oceanic regions, 24 servers will be merged into 6, while all 12 European servers will remain online, reducing the total number from 49 to 18. The U.S. will retain one PvP server and two PvE servers.
After an initially good launch, Age of Conan has run into problems. Conflicts over the continued development of the game caused Funcom founder Gaute Godager to leave the company. More recently, Funcom announced that it would be cutting its staff.
