Mythic Reveals First Warhammer Online Expansion

Mythic has had to deal with Electronic Arts layoffs and heavy competition, but it’s still plugging away with Warhammer Online. In fact, they’ve even announced a new expansion.
The new Call to Arms "live expansion" will feature two new classes - the Orc Choppa and the Dwarf Slayer - and a new dungeon called "the Land of the Dead" (thank you, George Romero). The expansion will be free to download beginning in March, and seems to marks a new, aggressive push for Warhammer Online as they will be offering a new, free trial version of the game as well as three in-game live events.
"With the addition of new careers and a huge Tomb Kings dungeon that is the spiritual successor to the Dark Age of Camelot dungeon, Darkness Falls, Call to Arms is an outstanding example of the massive amount of free content we are committed to delivering to WAR players now and in the future," said Mythic vice president Mark Jacobs.
The press release features a full expansion schedule, which opens with a live event featuring early access to the new classes, followed by an April live event called "Beyond the Sands." More events will followed, ending with Land of the Dead becoming fully accessible in June.
You can find more details here. Should be a good excuse to jump back into the game, especially with Mark Jacobs promising that this is only the first in a series of live expansions. What do you think?
