It's scary to think that the DS still has a substantial lifetime left, considering the launch of the recent DSi.
Nintendo today revealed that the Nintendo DS has shipped 100 million units worldwide. This total includes the original DS (which first shipped November 2004), the DS Lite and the recently launched DSi. The DSi will be available in America on April 5, 2009 and will feature two built-in cameras.
"Consumers have shown their love for Nintendo DS 100 million times over," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "We are grateful that people of all ages continue to respond to our products, and we will continue to look for ways to please current gamers and create new ones."
