Valve's "Counterstrike with Zombies" has proven to be a big hit, though the Steam sales still haven't been revealed.
Valve today announced that Left 4 Dead has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. This news comes from project lead Michael Booth at the company's booth at GDC. Left 4 Dead launched on both PC and Xbox 360 in November 2008.
The sales of Left 4 Dead represent retail only- Valve has not revealed any sales of the game over the company's Steam download service. Valve did indicate a significant jump in sales when the shooter title was offered for half price. To find out more about Left 4 Dead's success at retail, please read GameDaily BIZ's Chart Toppers.
