It's one of those things like Gundam or Dragon Quest that the people of Japan will always be way more into than people in the U.S., as Monster Hunter Freedom 2G continues its successful run.
Today, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Freedom 2G has shipped over 1.5 million units in Japan. This mark comes a mere week after Capcom announced that the title had shipped over 1 million copies. The Monster Hunter series has now sold a total of 6.8 million units as of April 8, 2008.
Monster Hunter Freedom 2G is an expansion of sorts to the PSP title Monster Hunter Freedom 2, allowing players to transfer game data from the latter game to the former. The game also released with a special customized PSP bundle. Capcom has still not announced any plans to bring Monster Hunter Freedom 2G to North America.
