Independent Game Conference East Goes to Boston

Game Path today announced details for the Independent Game Conference East (IGCEast). The event will be held at the Northeastern University campus in Boston from May 7 – 8, 2009. Early Registration for IGCEast will be $250 per attendee, with registration at the gate coming in at $300.

 

IGCEast is designed to help industry veterans share their experience with newly graduated industry hopefuls, while giving future professionals career counseling and interviews. The business and marketing sessions will include "Indies, Microtrans, and MMOs" by Aaron Murray of Tandem Games, "How To Build Games, Make Your Company Successful And Still Have a Life" by Brett Close of 38 Studios and a "Networking for Indies" panel featuring Darius Kazemi of Orbus Gameworks, Scott Macmillian of Macguffin Games and Sam Houston of gamerDNA.com. Technical Track sessions will include "Music as an Element of Game Design" by Duncan Watt of Fastestmanintheworld, "The Network Ate My Game: programming for latency in online multiplayer games" by Judy Tyrer of Red Storm Entertainment and "Steal this Idea!" by Philip Tan of Singapore-MIT Gambit Game Lab.
