Amazon today made World of Goo available to buy. The WiiWare title is currently the only game of its sort offered via the online retailer. The purchase of $14.99 actually activates a code with which players can then download World of Goo onto their Wii.
This move is the latest by Amazon to expand its influence in the retail gaming sector. In the past few months, Amazon has been trying its hand at digital PC gaming distribution, casual gaming downloads, used game sales and Xbox Live products.
