Is Duke Nukem Forever dead for good? Things don't look good for 3D Realms, as reports suggest that their funding just ran out.
Shacknews is reporting that 3D Realms has been shut down. Funding issues were apparently the culprit and all employees at the developer have been let go. 3D Realms was founded in 1987 and has been infamously working on Duke Nukem Forever for over a dozen years.
After this news came out, GameDaily BIZ was contacted by the makers of the episodic series called Duke Nukem Trilogy. "Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms," read the short statement. "Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned."
