Dragon Quest V Sells Over One Million

The Japanese sure do love their Dragon Quest, and in fact, the remake was the only game to exceed one million in sales for Square Enix.
Kotaku today revealed information about the best selling Square Enix titles for the past year. Dragon Quest V on DS was the top seller with 1.35 million units moved. Two PSP titles followed with Final Fantasy: Dissidia at 930,000 and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core with 840,000. The top five was rounded out with Chrono Trigger on DS with 790,000 and The Last Remnant for PC and Xbox 360 with 580,000 units sold.
Broken down by region, Japan was still very important with its 1.51 million in sales. North America saw the largest sales, however, with 1.69 million games sold. Europe came in third with 540,000 units sold total.
