God of War III, Last Guardian Finish Off Sony E3 Press Con

To finish off their E3 press conference, Sony showed off some of the most anticipated PS3 games scheduled for release in the next year. First on the list was the brand new ModNation Racers. This title from United Front Games is designed to be the racing equivalent of LittleBigPlanet, with fully customizable racers and tracks. The second game in the Play Create Share genre will release in 2010.

The next trailer showed off the next game from Fumito Ueda and Team Ico. Called The Last Guardian, the video had much the same content as the previously leaked trailer called Project Trico, though there were some new sections and the detail was higher overall, featuring a boy interacting with a magical beast.

After a brief Gran Turismo 5 clip, a full demonstration was given of God of War III in action. In our minds, this game really was an exclamation mark at the end of the conference, showing off incredible detail in the character models, new gameplay features like a shoulder charge and enemy riding, and new enemies like the centaur and chimera. God of War III will continue the series tradition of releasing in March, this time in 2010.
