Remeber when the DLC for Burnout: Paradise was the whopping sum of free? Well, those days still aren't returning, as Criterion announced today the upcoming downloadable content pack Big Surf Island will debut at a price of $12.99. However, if you use Microsoft Magic Money, you get a killer discount with the same content costing only 1000 points.
What does the $12.99 get you? Well, Criterion promises 15 new events, in addition to new cars, a new location, and impressive jumps, as well as new Freeburn Challenges. I wouldn't be surprised if Criterion kept this going forever. With the amount of DLC they've churned out for this game - that released a whopping two-and-a-half years ago - what is the point of another installment when they can improve upon the current one? This isn't Smackdown vs. Raw, after all.
Big Surf Island is still set for release on June 11th for PS3 and Xbox 360.
