It's hard for us to admit, but we don't really understand technology. Yeah, crazy, right? For all we know, David the Gnome lives inside our 360 and has trained Swift to help him put the pictures on our TVs. Seriously, no clue how it all works.
So it gives us pause when we hear someone like senior vice president of EA Games Europe, Patrick Soderlund say something like "I do think that we'll see developers inside the organization getting to understand the PS3 better and I think that we're getting more power out of PS3 right now... I think that we've maxed out the 360 but we haven't maxed out the PS3."
Is Swift getting old? Has David developed a drinking problem? If only we had taken that game programming night class! (Or, you know, if Soderlund had backed up his claim with any data.)
