Despite broken street dates, download codes bought at retail will not work until next week.
Bethesda tossed up a post on their official blog today, setting a firm release date for Fallout 3's upcoming Point Lookout DLC. Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live users should be able to start trudging through the mutant-infested swamplands of Point Lookout next Tuesday, June 23, for a fee of 800 Microsoft points ($10).
Less patient gamers are already reporting finding download tokens for the DLC at GameStop, but the developers assured Kotaku that these early codes will not work until the content is actually released next week.
Planning on hopping back on the Fallout 3 train with Point Lookout? Or have you finally given up on the Capitol Wasteland and its woeful denizens?
