Customized themes, a status indicator, and more come to PS3.
Sony today confirmed that the PS3 firmware update version 3.00 will be available soon. The latest update to the system's firmware comes at the same time that the PS3 Slim model is launching on the market.
As previously announced, this update will include a "What's New" section, greater customization to avatars and themes, and modified ways to display Trophies. There are also cosmetic changes to the XMB, a new status indicator and shortcuts to the PlayStation Store.
