We’ve already seen NVIDIA rush the 55-nm 9800 GTX+ into service to combat RV770, and according to DigiTimes, NVIDIA also plans to launch additional 55-nm GPUs over the course of this quarter, starting with G96 later this month. Its been rumored that G96 will come under the GeForce 9600 GT/GSO in NVIDIA’s lineup and be dubbed the GeForce 9500 GT. The card will feature a 128-bit memory interface with DDR2 memory, while the GPU will be clocked around 650MHz with 1650MHz shaders.
DigiTimes reports that NVIDIA will also be releasing 55-nm GT200 and G94 variants later this quarter which will be cheaper to produce than today’s GeForce GTX 200 and GeForce 9600 series graphics cards.
