Microsoft's Xbox 360 Press Conference

Microsoft just concluded their E3 press conference. During the event, Microsoft announced a number of new additions to Xbox 360:
-- Xbox 360 dashboard gets a facelift, including avatars: Microsoft has completely reworked the Xbox Live dashboard with a new 10-ft UI that replaces the blades with new channels (Community channel, My Xbox, Games, etc) and the addition of Mii-like avatars. The new dashboard will debut this Fall.
-- New Partnerships with NBC Universal: Starting today, programming from NBC Universal will be made available on Xbox Live. Television programming such as Battlestar Galactica, and The Office will be made available, while movies from Universal include Bourne Supremacy and Chronicles of Riddick.
-- Netflix coming to Xbox 360: Netflix’s library of movies will be making their way to the Xbox 360. Xbox Live users who already have a Netflix subscription can stream movies at no charge. Users will even have the ability to screen these movies with up to 7 of their friends.
-- Geometry Wars 2 coming next month: Microsoft provided a glimpse of the hit arcade game, Geometry Wars 2, which will hit Xbox Live arcade next month. Price wasn’t announaced however.
-- Gears of War 2 coming Nov 7th: Based on the same game engine as the original, Epic’s sequel will support up to 5-player co-op in a new Horde mode, which will have players taking on waves of Locusts. New weapons also demo’ed.
Portal: Still alive coming exclusively to Xbox Live: Valve’s puzzle game Portal will be making its way exclusively to Xbox Live later this fall.
-- You’re in the Movies announced: Rumors of a motion-sensitive controller for Xbox 360 turned out to be untrue. Instead we got You’re in the movies, which uses the Xbox 360 camera to put you inside a movie video game. Hand gestures, running, and other activities were demonstrated. Your movements are then compiled together into a short action movie.
-- Rock Band 2: The full song list for Rock Band 2 was released, featuring 84 song titles. AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Bob Dylan, and more will be available in the new title when it ships this Sept. Rock Band songs can be transferred to Rock Band 2, when combined with downloadable music, over 500 songs will ultimately be available.
-- Final Fantasy XIII coming to 360: The Final Fantasy saga will finally make its way to a Microsoft console, launching on the same day as the PS3 version for gamers in North America and Europe.
-- Lips announced: The game will ship with a motion-sensitive wireless mic and will even allow you to sync up your music collection from your Zune or iPod to the game.
-- Resident Evil 5 coming March 13th, 2009:
-- Fable 2 is "done", shipping in Oct
